In 1987 the company kicked off as the publishing arm of the PIAS Group, taking care of PIAS signed artists exclusively.

While maintaining its close relationship with PIAS and at the same time developing its own roster of writers and composers, Strictly Confidential is today one of the biggest independent publishers in Europe with a catalogue consisting of approx. 50.000 original titles and controlling over 500.000 titles in total.
