Stage Three Music is a music publishing company formed in 2003 in London by Steve Lewis, previously Debuty MD of Virgin Records, MD of Virgin Music and CEO of the Music Division of Chrysalis Group Plc. In 2005 Stage Three acquired Mosaic Music and opened offices in Los Angeles and Nashville under the supervision of Stage Three’s US president Lionel Conway, formerly President of Island Music, Polygram Music and Maverick Music, turning it overnight into leading international, independent publishing powerhouse.
Stage Three Music operates two parallel and complementary strategies. It acquires catalogues as well as signing and developing the careers of individual songwriters and bands. We acquire only catalogues that we believe contain classic songs. We work only with writers we believe are, or will become, the leaders in their musical area and we aim to offer our writers the highest level of service.
Stage Three offers a labor intensive service to an elite roster of writers and it seeks to license its catalogue innovatively and imaginatively. We constantly look for ways to bring our songs and writers to new and bigger audiences by actively creating and pursuing opportunities in the fast moving digial world as well as in traditional media and products.
